What is a Fast Task?

A Fast Task is any update to your website that we can complete in 30 minutes or less from initial request to final delivery including emails & phone calls.

For example:

Updating on-page content including text, images, videos, etc.
Updating Forms including adding/removing fields, changing the confirmation message, changing who receives email notifications, etc.
Updating contact information including email addresses, phone numbers, address, maps, etc.
Adding new pages or blog posts (but not writing them)

Onboarding

We get to know you and your site.

First we examine your site top-to-bottom for potential problems.

We don’t get hung up on “best practices” for the sake of themselves.
Rather, we focus on tactical, practical things that will make or break your site.

Next we’ll provide a list of recommendations, all of which are optional.

UNLESS, something is so badly out-of-whack it must be fixed before migrating your site into our environment. Then we will tell you in plain English what the problem is,

how we plan to fix it,
how long it will take,
and what it will cost.

With your “go ahead”, we will do it.

Then we’ll create a Post-Update Functionality Checklist. More on that later.

Migration

The take-over begins.

First we will take over your DNS hosting, allowing us to make instantaneous changes.

Next we’ll migrate your site into the best-fit Managed WordPress hosting environment.

Then we’ll both review the migrated site to ensure nothing got lost in transit.

Finally we’ll seamlessly launch your site.

After your site migration is complete, we’ll take over management of your domain registration. You still own it, of course.

Throughout all of this, your email stays where it is.

At this point, we have the ball. You can cancel your old hosting account. (unless that’s where your email is!)

Ongoing

Now that we have your site, what are we doing with it?

We manage WordPress Core & Plugin updates.
Fast deployment of security patches keeps your site secure, while waiting for feature releases to mature keeps you off the buggy bleeding edge.

We notify you each time we run updates – before and after.
Upon completion, you should run through your Post-Update Functionality Checklist (that we made during Onboarding) – or we can do it for you starting @ $25/month.

We keep up with the best Plugins and extend our Developer Licenses to you wherever possible.

We manage your plugin licenses. For premium plugins unique to your site, you pay the license cost while we manage them seamlessly for you.

We monitor your site 24/7. If it goes down for even a minute, we know about it first.

Backups. Backups. Backups. Beyond automatic nightly backups stored for 30 days, we also store one backup per month for at least 2 years.

Managed Managed Hosting. We keep up with the best offerings in the Managed WordPress Hosting space and keep your site where fits best (free seamless migrations included).

Managed domain registration. One standard TLD (.com, .net, .org) is included in your plan. Additional domains can be managed for $15/year (more for specialty TLD’s).

Annually we’ll proactively review your site and make recommendations. We’re not chasing fads, rather keeping up with important technological changes. A well-maintained site can last years longer than one left to rot. These updates are optional, of course.

Hacker cleanup guarantee. If your site is compromised, we will restore it to it’s full glory at no additional charge.
